This is an updated version of my chakra diagram. A few more chakras have been added as well as the color of the brow chakra corrected. My side view of the chakras will be up soon.

The chakras are energy centers that exist within and outside of our body. When they are healthy they are spinning clockwise about 6" diameter. These have affect on your physical body. If they are not healthy then those parts of your physical/emotional/mental body that correspond to that chakra will be having problems. An easy way to make sure they are healthy is to visualize them (as shown in this chart) spinning clockwise with a beam of corresponding colored light coming into it. Specific stones, oils, incense, music notes, and colored fabrics also match up to specific chakras and help to open them. There are the 10 main chakras (although generally people only consider the 7 main ones that are within the body) that run straight up and down the spine. Then various minor ones all over the body. I've heard that there are up to 2000 minor ones all throughout the body and outside the body. Chakras were known about in many civilizations all over the world, from the Mayans, to Native Americans, to India, to China, to Egypt and many other places.
